SPARTAAAAAAAA
So playing of Oddworld and GEX got a little put off. Not that I didn’t make a valiant attempt so far (Jacob and I sucked so bad but the two player mode on Oddworld is hilarious) after seeing the G4 demo preview of God of War III I made the executive decision that, for my (now recently passed) birthday that a new series should be started. Lately I’ve been wanting more long-time-play games (and almost bullied myself back into the Final Fantasy genre) and completely forgot about God of War until seeing all the shiny new things they’ll be bringing into the third. So now in my possession I have God of War and God of War II (one of which is mine [II] and one I’m borrowing from a friend [I]) and man, if I didn’t have a day of work ahead of me I would just sit and play them all day.
So I don’t have a full review or anything, seeing that I just started, but since I accidentally woke up at 7:00 a.m. I’ve got between now and about two to play. I’m currently stuck on the rooftops of Athens struggling to defeat two cyclopes surrounded by wraiths. I’m thinking (or at least hoping) that now in a much more…sober state of mind that it will be less of a challenge. Time to open up a can of testosterone-laden whoop-ass.
I get the feeling that once this comes out (if I’m still in the country) that I’m gunna be jonesing for a PS3 even though I’ve always thought the 360 to be the better investment.
